Annie Leibovitz may lose photo rights

World famous photography icon Annie Leibovitz may lose the rights to her own photo collection to settle massive debts she has incurred. Despite making millions from her celebrity photographs she has managed to incur huge debts from loans, unpaid bills, and lawsuits. She is also currently being sued by a fellow photographer after using his images without permission or payment and passing them off as her own.

Leibovitz’s career has been peppered with controversy, including run ins with such diverse figures as Queen Elizabeth and Miley Cyrus, although of course her images have also graced the pages of almost every fashion magazine in the world, particularly Vogue and Vanity Fair. Her name has regularly cropped up in cases of unpaid bills to vendors and photographic staff.

Reportedly Leibovitz receives about $2 million per year from Vanity Fair and charges $100,000 for a private portrait – who said there was no money in photography?
